James Trussart is a French luthier based in Los Angeles who has famously broken the mould of conventional electric guitar building by using steel as the main body of his guitars, resulting in handmade, resonant guitars with exceptionally cool finishes.

Our first delivery of Trussarts features two models - SteelCaster and DeVille. James's popular Steelcaster model takes on a familiar 'T'-style look, while the SteelDeville takes its cues from a traditional singlecut shape.

James has made guitars for some of music's most iconic guitarist including Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Billy Gibbons, Joe Walsh, Jack White, Charlie Sexton, Daniel Lanois, Marc Ribot, Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow), Rich Robinson (Black Crowes), Sonny Landreth, Joe Perry, Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, The Roots, and many, many more.
