In this week's episode of the Talking Guitar podcast, we caught up with the brilliant Ben Wilborn of Wilborn Guitars. Ben shares how he got into lutherie, the inspiration behind his models, his build philosophy, and the Wilborn Arum which has just arrived at TNAG. We even managed to squeeze in a little bit about frog and toad.

Talking Guitar Podcast: Ben Wilborn
We're also really excited to have just received this Arum model, featuring Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides and Sitka Spruce for the top.
The Arum is Ben's mid-sized guitar within his 'comma' series. It is sized similarly to the standard OM model. Featuring a stunning set of Brazilian Rosewood for the back and sides, it has clear and crisps tones, and frings like a bell. Paired with 50 year old Sitka Spruce, this combination creates a broad dynamic range, with clarity and power.
Ben Wilborn shared his thoughts around the design and intentions for this model- "A 14” body has traditionally been the domain of the blues guitar, but for The Arum, that definition is far too limited. This guitar punches well above its weight in overall volume and bass response, but is also incredibly even in its response up and down the neck. It is an ideal instrument in the studio, with great focus and note separation."
