Guitar.com Visits Nik Huber Guitars

Our dear friends at Guitar.com have been doing sterling work as always keeping us both inspired and informed in the current climate, and this week they have released a wonderful new addition to their 'Meet The Makers' series that we simply had to share with you, celebrating the work of one of our favourite electric Luthiers, Nik Huber.

This fantastic feature offers a great insight into Nik's meticulous ethos and personal history as a builder, alongside great views from inside the workshop as Nik and his team work their magic creating some of the finest electric guitars around.

We've long adored the instruments that leave the Huber workshop, and seeing wonderful footage like this only heightens our excitement for the upcoming new additions we are set to receive!

This extraordinary new Redwood model from Nik Huber Guitars is an absolute showstopper, with a custom ordered One-Piece Exceptionally Curly Redwood top in Nik's gorgeous Tiger Eye finish.

The Redwood adopts the same iconic silhouette as the Dolphin model, but comes in at an astonishingly light weight with semi-hollow construction underneath the remarkable figured top. This lends an entirely different voice and character to the instrument and culminates in something both unique, and breathtaking in the Huber lineup.

In playing, the set of Haussel Pickups provide a nuanced and versatile range for the guitar; smooth and dynamic with the amp set clean but equally lively and explosive with a touch more gain dialled into the amp.

Of course, hailing from the workshop of Nik and his team, the playability of the guitar is second to none, with superb access to the upper registers thanks to the signature neck heel and cutaway with a sweet, rounded tone even on the treble strings up at the dusty end of the board.
