Introducing Taylor Guitars
As many of you will know, the movement of all Rosewood species on to the CITES Appendix Two list has caused many issues for major guitar brands as well as smaller workshop luthiers, not to mention dealers and distributors all over the world and, of course and most importantly, you the customer.
We ourselves have been experiencing several issues this year with attaining import licenses for some of our high end instruments as well as larger shipments of our entry level guitars. Brands such as Avian Guitars and the incredibly popular B&G Little Sister Crossroads have been majorly delayed due to intense due diligence each brand has to go through to prove the provenance of their wood supply.
Sustainability of our woods is becoming more and more important in the world we live in for the future of our industry and, of course, the planet we live on, which is something we feel very strongly about here at The North American Guitar. So, forward thinking for wood sustainability is one of, if not the most important, step for planning our product line.
Since moving into our new showroom in Old Street, London we have seen a steady increase in followers for what we do here at TNAG and the community of guitar lovers we are developing. We have always tried to be more than just an online shop or showroom, offering our customers more than just a guitar to buy.
A big part of what we do is to assist in educating our customers via cutting edge videos, educational blogs, introducing new and exciting brands, many exclusively available via us, and our in-house gigs and events. There are a lot of guitar lovers out there and we want to introduce them to The North American Guitar.
Our ethos from day one has always been to offer the best product at any price point and to bring in products we believe in, stand by and essentially would play on stage or in the studio ourselves.
So it is with great pleasure that we can announce that we are now an officially Taylor Guitars dealer. After many conversations and meetings, we are very proud to become part of the Taylor Guitars family and feel their outlook on design, sustainability and quality fits in perfectly with our existing range of guitars and brand ethos.
For those of you who are familiar with the Taylor brand, you will know that they are at the forefront of main stream guitar innovation and wood sustainably, with their founder Bob Taylor playing a huge role in introducing new and exotic woods to their range of instruments.
In celebration of the TNAG Launch of Taylor Guitars in our showroom we have teamed up with one of the UK’s biggest live music agencies Solo Agency and put together an incredible night of live music from some of the UK’s most inspiring new and established talents. The night is completely free for all our TNAG Members and kicks off with a complimentary champagne reception.
