Just Arrived: Episode 11. Kostal 00, OMC and Jumbo
On Episode 11 of Just Arrived, Lindsay shows us the three beautiful new guitars from Arizona-based luthier Jason Kostal. After an apprenticeship with Ervin Somogyi, Jason has gone on to become one of the most sought-after guitar makers in his own right, and is well-loved for his precise craftsmanship and aesthetic touches.
We've been looking forward to getting a master grade koa guitar from Jason for some time, so to have two at once, in two unique body shapes that provide their own advantages, is a rare treat. Best of all, though, is the Jumbo with its master-grade quilted maple, which is a recreation of a guitar that Jason has on display at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.
