Just Arrived: Our First Gerber RL16 Model!

We are very excited to have received our first RL16 model from Ryan Gerber in The North American Guitar showroom. This guitar is a stunning 2019 model featuring Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and a Mastergrade Swiss Spruce top. It sports a stunning Pear and Cocobolo custom rosette, fretboard inlays, backstrip and endgraft.

We spoke to Ryan Gerber himself about this build and his intentions for this instrument:

"The goal for this guitar was to maximise the potential of the fantastic set of Brazilian Rosewood which was used for the back and sides. Brazilian Rosewood brings so much sonic potential to the table, and this particular set was especially lively and resonant.  I also selected the best Swiss moon spruce soundboard in the shop, and finished the guitar with traditional french polish.

It had been a few years since I last used the RL16 body style, so it was fun to bring the larger soundbox to life.  I think RL16 body compliments the extra resonance and shimmer of the Brazilian Rosewood very nicely, and fills out the voice. I'm very happy with the end result." - Ryan Gerber

Being a 2019 model, this Gerber Guitar is an incredibly recent build and comes to us in perfect, museum-like condition. This gorgeous guitar is available to try now and can be purchased for £9,450.
