Kostal Guitars Celebrates 150th Guitar
We are extremely proud and excited to announce that Jason Kostal's 150th guitar is exclusively available through The North American Guitar.
Demand for Kostal Guitars has never been higher, with 2017 seeing more Kostals sold via The North American Guitar than ever before. We have seen a surge in Jason's newest model, the MDW, as well as his OM model. So, when he decided to spec out his 150th guitar, it was always going to be a tough decision between the two models. After much deliberation and wanting to make this instrument as personal as possible, Jason decided on his favourite (desert island) body shape the OM, built in a personal set of his favourite wood for the back and sides, Ebony!
Having been a challenging year for CITES restrictions, Jason wanted to ensure this guitar would be CITES-free, and could travel anywhere in the world without issue.
"One of the huge benefits right now is that Ebony is not on the CITES list, and as such, is not a restricted wood, so there are no import/export considerations with this. I choose wood based on what will make the best guitars, not because of which woods require less paperwork, but it is nice when you find a wood that is the best wood and also requires NO paperwork! Haha!" - Jason Kostal
