Michael Spalt Visits TNAG HQ
It was a real pleasure to welcome Michael Spalt to TNAG HQ last week for our evening with Spalt guitars. The interview session was broadcast live on our Facebook page, thank you to everyone who contacted us with comments and questions!
Michael brought a pair of very special instruments with him which are now available at our London showroom. The first is "Broken Nation" £4500
This breathtaking instrument features a one-piece mahogany body with a resin top containing the found objects from which the guitar gets its name.
The electronics are a "Bone Top" P-90 at the neck with a powerful Lollar Imperial humbucker at the bridge. This can be coil-tapped with the push/pull switch in the tone knob.
Check out Broken Nation in action below!
Michael also brought a Vienna model guitar with him, the stunning "Gold Top #2" £5450
As with all the Vienna guitars, Gold Top #2 features a one-piece hollow Mahogany body and bolt-on Mahogany neck.
The Spruce top is covered with the signature Spalt resin finish.

Finally here's a short clip from the evening where Michael shares his thoughts on the YouTube polemic du jour "Does Tonewood Matter in Electric Guitars?"
