The Baranik 00 Fiddleback Mahogany Just Landed!
Mike Baranik is without a doubt one of the most highly respected luthiers in the world, with an astonishing client list of well know players and collectors, people rarely own one just Baranik guitar, it is often two or three.
He has a signature tone that runs through out all his acoustics, offering a beautifully articulate and present voice. His guitars tend to focus on balance rather than power and each model whether a OO, OM or parlour will give the player exactly what they are looking for. His guitars have a gorgeous look and feel too, with a beautiful sense of design and character often inspired from his love of art or passion for film and music.
Ever since first meeting Mike, we have not looked back, and this year we are extremely excited to be bringing in some outrageous instruments from his collection.
Here is a quick interview Mike and I did at this year's Winter NAMM show:
Baranik 00 Fiddleback Mahogany & Adirondack Spruce
This Baranik 00 acoustic guitar in Fiddleback Mahogany and Adirondack Spruce is the first new guitar we have received from luthier Mike Baranik out in California, USA.
This gorgeous guitar combines a traditional non-cutaway 00 body, a 14-fret neck join and understated looks with the addition of a soundport and segmented headstock veneer, offering more modern touches.
The guitar has a very comfortable Mahogany neck and Rosewood fretboard with no inlays but side dots for the player’s reference.
