TNAG Player Series: Gideon Boley

We are very excited to welcome the Nashville-based session and touring guitarist, Gideon Boley to the TNAG Player family. We recently got together with Gideon for a video shoot of twenty electric guitars ranging from brand new Collings and pre-owned custom Nik Huber guitars, to vintage Gibsons, and everything in between.

His diverse playing styles shined through on every guitar that we put in his hands, whether it was country chicken pickin’, soaring hard rock leads, or ethereal chordal soundscapes. A few of our favorites from the day included his exploration of the TLL Marvin in Emerald Green, and his twang-filled hybrid picked blues riffing on our Ruokangas Mojo King.

Gideon first moved to Nashville from his home state of Texas in 2013 to attend Belmont University, and his music career simultaneously began. Throughout his time in music city he has performed with Nashville songwriting powerhouses including David Leonard and Kelleigh Bannen, to name a few. In the studio, he’s provided his guitar and pedal steel stylings for artists such as Brandon Lake, Twinnie, Sam Hunt, and Cash Campbell. In 2018 he joined Cash Campbell’s touring outfit, up until touring came to a pause recently. Since he’s been off the road, Gideon has honed in on remote recording from his home studio, and collaborating with artists on demos whenever possible.
