TNAG's 6th Anniversary & New Showroom Launch
Last week we celebrated two big mile stones for our guitar company - our 6th year anniversary and the official launch of our new London showroom.
Since we moved to Waterside back in December, The North American Guitar and all of us here in the team have gone from strength to strength. Change for a business like ours has some serious challenges; is the location right for our customers? Does the showroom meet the expectations of our brand and will our friends still be there to support us along the way? And, after the incredible turn out last week, all I can say is a very big thank you. We are overwhelmed at the response we received and the passion towards the new showroom and what we are doing.
As a company we have always tried to set the ‘quality' bar as high as we possibly can, in order to give our luthiers, brands and customers something that no other guitar shop in the world can give. Our biggest aim here at The North American Guitar has always been to create a community of all things guitar for our customers and to bring in to the UK what we feel are the finest instruments the world has to offer at any price point, from a first guitar for the beginner to a Fan Fret Greenfield for the advance player or collector.
There was a real sense of community to our event last week. Some of those who attended have been with us from the beginning, while for others, this was their first visit to us.
Our aim has been to welcome people into our showroom as friends, not just as customers, to let them enjoy the brand, revel in our outstanding roster of selected luthiers and, most importantly, play the guitars in an environment where they are not pressured and can choose any instrument at their own pace, plus have the best one to one service possible.
The night kicked off with a drinks reception by the canal, which was a wonderful opportunity to chat with everyone individually about their musical journey, their current instrument and where they want to go next as a player.
By 7.45pm, everyone was seated downstairs in our showroom to enjoy the first act of the night. New singing sensation and London home grown Rothwell, recently signed to John Giddings' (Isle of Wight owner and music agent legend’s) agency Solo. After winning over the audience with her stunning vocals and heartfelt lyrics, we welcomed Manchester’s new folk/blues artist Ben Williams to the stage. Ben has just come off the back of a very successful BBC Radio 2 single and was fresh out of the studio having just finished his new album.
After a quick break, we were ready for our headline act - the main man...the one and only Clive Carroll!
Clive has been a dear friend of TNAG’s every since we opened our doors back in 2011. He played at our first and 4th anniversary events and we were honoured to host his album launch show back at our old showroom in Fulham last year. As always, he did not disappoint!
Taking us on a musical journey that only he can do and humbling all of us guitar players and lovers to the core with his mind blowing talent. Fresh out of the studio with Tommy Emanuel and off on a world tour, Clive remains in our eyes one of the greatest finger style guitars players of our time.
The event was a complete sell out (which none of us here at TNAG could have ever imagined) and for that we have to thank each and every person for attending. Here are some highlights from the event:
If you didn't manage to attend this event, we are hosting a number of fantastic live music nights across a number of genres throughout the year, starting with the much anticipated exclusive UK launch of B&G Guitars' Little Sister Crossroads model featuring special guest Robbie McIntosh. Tickets are going fast and available here.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon and, as always, if you needs us for anything, do get in touch!
Have a great weekend,
The North American Guitar
