Tone woods - Maple!

Maple, traditionally the material of choice for the very finest orchestral stringed instruments and yet its use in acoustic guitars has at times led to mixed results (I'm looking at you Gibson...) and resultant controversy.

Be that as it may, we believe that in the right hands Maple is one of the very finest tone woods available and we welcome its recent resurgence in popularity. In this video I look at two similarly sized guitars with very different personalities: The Kostal MDW model in Quilted Birdseye Maple and German Spruce

And the Bourgeois Festival series limited edition OO in Flamed Maple and Adirondack Spruce
