Mark Gaiero's development as a craftsman began on film sets in Los Angeles and took root in the workshops of Laika Studios, where he designed and built stop-motion puppet armatures for 10 years.
From 2016-2019, Mark studied as an apprentice to master luthier Ervin Somogyi. The experience fundamentally shaped his approach to the acoustic guitar, and left an indelible mark on his work.

“My aim is to create an instrument that will continually inspire you to play, whether in the studio, on stage, or at home.”
Mark offers custom guitars built by hand in his Portland, Oregon workshop. Gaiero Guitars is committed to building exclusively with non-threatened wood species. Thankfully, plenty of exceptionally high-quality tonewoods are readily available and grow in abundance. With every Gaiero Guitar sold, 20 trees are planted through One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation.
