Luthier
Jeff Jewitt
Location
Ohio
Founded
1988

Folding together both an art and science background, not only does Jeff Jewitt build fine acoustic guitars, he has formulated colorants used by the guitar industry and is sought after as both a finish consultant and teacher.

Jeff has immersed himself in the music instrument business for over 30 years. Working out of a historic building in Cleveland, Ohio, his goal is to produce well-crafted instruments full of tonal richness and character. As a guitar player himself for 40 years, he knows how to put together an instrument for the discerning and discriminating player.

“For me lutherie is a craft of endless boundaries. There are so many new inspirations I get from nature, science, and other craftsmen and disciplines, it’s a never-ending pursuit of excellence.”

A master finisher, Jeff's sunbursts are second to none, and his opinions on the varying finish options available for guitars are informed by his vast experience. His standard finish is catalyzed urethane for its durability, resistance to crazing, and tonal transparency.

Sunbursts are available on any build, and can be customized and matched to a reference photo.
