Santa Cruz, California

As is often the way, Stephen’s lutherie journey began with a deep passion for music, since childhood. After developing a love for the guitar and dabbling within repairs and setups, Stephen progressed to lutherie training at the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix Arizona.

Following this Strahm has lent his services to and worked alongside many of the best names in lutherie, such as Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Rick Turner and Jeff Traugott. This wealth of knowledge and passion only enhances his ability to build some of the most responsive, sophisticated and inspiring guitars on the market.

“Some people can go a lifetime without finding something that gives their life meaning. When I strung up my first guitar I knew what that meaning was.”

Working with TNAG is like being on a championship team. We each have unique strengths that when combined allow each member to perform at their best. For me, that’s building guitars.

Stephen's notes

The EROS model is an OM inspired sonic masterpiece. Designed with a larger lower bout and narrow waist, it's very comfortable to play and sounds huge for a medium sized guitar. Extremely balanced piano like tone that is elegant, wide open and responsive.
