Details

Lee Chapman has developed a fierce local following with Tennessee natives, and it takes only a single chop on this 2009 A5 to see why. Faithful to traditional Loar-inspired instruments, this mandolin was made to play with others, and has the upper mid-range every bluegrass band, or jam, needs. With a dry, woody voice, and it has got power enough to take out any banjo in its path. The condition is played, but loved, with some minor battle scars here and there. The frets are in excellent shape and the bridge has plenty of room to go up and down to match any playing preference. It is apparent that Lee puts a lot of care into his instruments, and the attention to detail both aesthetically, and tonally, compete with some of the best out there.
