We're excited about any and every Ted Åstrand guitar, but make it a Mad Rose OM and we are especially in! The beautiful blend of old-school warmth with modern sparkle that he achieves with moon spruce and Madagascar rosewood, with balance across the registers, has to be played to be believed. He says of his OM design: 

"The Å-OM is my interpretation of the perfect midsize guitar. It has a lower bout width of 385mm, slightly larger than a standard OM and a smaller upper bout for better balance and comfort. It is built for maximum responsiveness and is a great fingerstyle guitar."

On this pre-owned Å-OM, the pattern and hues of the bearclawed moon spruce top catch your eye first, before you take note of the ripple of the spalted maple on the rosette and headstock. Madagascar rosewood with matching binding and an elegant backstrip design carry Ted's signature understated elegance. The scale length is a little shy of full at 25", adding just a bit of that slinkier string feel, but keeping the tension needed for alternate tunings. The overall condition is excellent, with just some stray marks on the peghead from past string changes.
