Details
The ED-M, or "Essential Dreadnought", is Alister Atkin's take on the classic D-18. Atkin and his team are based in Canterbury, England, where they further the legacy of American guitar craft with a whole host of handmade, pre-war inspired models.
If you're looking for that classic dry, rumbling mahogany dreadnought sound, this guitar has everything you need, and nothing you don't. The Sitka top and scalloped bracing are baked, or torrefied, in house, ensuring as much of that played-in guitar tone as possible.
This workhorse guitar is completed with a careful, painstakingly applied nitrocellulose "mirror" finish. At just a few years old, this guitar remains in excellent condition.
