This exceptionally stunning instrument from Baranik Guitars finds it's roots in Mike's Retreux Parlour Deluxe design, but from those foundations moves into something entirely unique.
The concept of this beautiful build was to take inspiration from the gorgeous lines and curves of the iconic Jaguar E-type Sports Car, as seen in iconic James Bond films amongst other legendary productions of the time. Across the guitar you can see the tasteful references in, for example, the custom oval soundhole and elegant sidevent soundport with a Brazilian Rosewood baffle.
The E-type is synonymous with luxury and style, and that's something this snappy little number has captured wonderfully. With Figured European Maple for the back, sides and neck, an Adirondack Spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood for the interior back and fretboard, there really is no shortage on sensational custom appointments with this instrument.
Although the guitar is instantly captivating with it's aesthetic, the playability and tonal makeup of the guitar is set to match. With an effortlessly comfortable neck profile and stellar separation and articulation through the registers, it is an inspiring experience to coax out the luscious tones this instrument has to offer.
The use of two separate tonewoods for the back of this Parlour style guitar gifts it a very complex voice; punchy and focused with cascading overtones and etherial sustain.
