Big Hollow Guitars is the name luthier Bevan Frost chose for his CO-based workshop, and the old west vibe doesn't end there. Bevan focuses his craft on a careful selection of small-bodied guitars with names like the "Prospector" and "Plainsman". With vintage-inspired details like a slotted headstock, an inky sunburst, and a moon inlay on the headstock, this is one visually enticing guitar.
He describes his instruments as fingerstyle guitars, but as guitarist Carl Miner demonstrates in the demo, this Adirondack spruce topped 00 has plenty of body for flatpicking as well. Honduran rosewood is, as he describes, "resonant, rich, [and] stiff enough to shape a guitar's tone into powerful, clear notes."
Overall condition is excellent, with only very minor signs of prior ownership, and comes with its original hard case.
