Details

At its heart, this Bob Thompson D shares many similarities to the renowned Martin style Dreadnought, but upon further inspection, it does not take long to notice the fine craftsmanship that makes this guitar one of a kind. Thompson, known for pushing the envelope of his designs, fitted this D with an Adirondack Spruce and a breathtaking Curly Koa back and sides. The combination makes for a playing experience that rewards players with a colossal sound while retaining string separation, clarity, and articulation. These qualities make it a phenomenal instrument for fingerstyle players and flatpickers alike, providing a balanced tone and full tonal projection. Paired with its ornate Koa and Abalone rosette, Koa peghead veneer, Herringbone purfling, custom fretboard inlay, and Ebony fretboard and bridge, this Bob Thompson D is sure to attract the eyes and ears of anyone who comes in contact with it.
