Julius Borges' unassuming, traditional-inspired guitars are always shop favorites and well-loved by performing musicians. Julius still builds in the old style and has been lauded as recreating the magic of Golden Era Martins better than Martin themselves. This custom baritone guitar was built by the Massachusetts-based luthier for songwriter, studio musician, and producer Buddy Miller. This Brazilian rosewood baritone has a massive voice, with all the rich bass you'd expect, while being plenty balanced out by a singing, sweet midrange. The long 27-1/2" scale length combined with heavier string gauge is slinky, making for a surprisingly easy and responsive playing experience.

This guitar is in good overall condition and is set up well and structurally sound. There are some signs of honest playwear - pick marks, a few minor dings, and light scratches - but nothing to take away from the excellent tone and playing experience.

Note: We recently learned from Julius that he has retired from building, and this is the only baritone guitar he has built.
