Details

What happens when you put koa, so often used for ukuleles and small guitars, on a beast like a slope-shouldered dreadnought? You get a powerful strummer with some serious high-end sparkle. This Bourgeois Custom Slope D in koa is perfect for replicating the big, open chord sound you might associate with 60s folk-rock and the Gibson J-200. But as Carl Miner proves, it is plenty capable of taking the lead, too. The Adirondack spruce top provides a nice balance of clarity, focus and warmth to balance out the bright koa. This 15-year-old guitar is in excellent, very clean condition, with only minor signs of wear.
