Details
We liked the Bourgeois OMSC "Odyssey" so much, we got ourselves a second helping! Dana Bourgeois is known for his high quality, handcrafted guitars, and this Bourgeois OMSC Custom Legacy Series is truly a work of art. Its tight, straight-grained redwood top is light yet stiff, giving it a warm yet crisp tone, with an abundance of upper harmonic content and overtones. Its master-grade Brazilian rosewood back and sides gives the OMSC a highly resonant, glass-like ring that sustains with a full deep bass and brilliant trebles.
The complex tonal palette that is created by these two tonewoods, paired with the naturally occurring resonance and harmonics of a 12-fret OM build style, make this guitar ideal for fingerstyle players. The Odyssey’s fine-tuned tone is matched with a series of intricate appointments. The offset braided rosette creates a delicate and attractive pattern that is complemented by its soloist-style purfling, and pearl sparkle fretboard and bridge inlays.
The 1-3/4” nut width and 25-1/2” scale length, in conjunction with its cutaway design and beveled armrest, reward a player with a very comfortable and intuitive playing experience. The Bourgeois OMSC Custom Legacy Series “The Odyssey” is a pristine and elegant example of the innovative craftsmanship one can expect when buying a Bourgeois guitar.
