Details

The Bunting Jackal is a double cut style guitar with a long tenon set neck and extra deep cutaways that offer excellent access to the entire neck. Bunting equipped the Jackal with a 2-point tremolo bridge, spicing it up with sweet, bell-like tones and versatility. They chose Spanish cedar as the Jackal’s body wood. Spanish cedar is a relative of Honduran mahogany and they share a similarity in character as tonewoods. It’s got the right weight and tone for that classic rock sound. Several neck pickups are available on the Jackal, but two are our favorites: a Wolfetone Mean P-90 and a Mojo Mini Humbucker. Each brings a different flavor to the table along with the Bridge Humbucker.

The Jackal is a versatile rock guitar, inspired fond memories of 80’s rock. It combines the best of what we love in classic double-cut guitars with S-style contours for comfort and playability.

Why buy this guitar

Key Features

Bunting Jackal, Port Red
PIckups
Several neck pickups are available on the Jackal, but two are our favorites: a Wolfetone Mean P-90 and a Mojo Mini Humbucker. Each brings a different flavor to the table along with the Bridge Humbucker.
Tonewoods
The solid Spanish Cedar body is closer in tone to a mahogany than traditional cedar, and combined with the Bosnian Maple neck it provides a lot of the hard rock tones of the classic doublecut electrics that influenced it.
Finish
Bunting's proprietary “Raw Finish” recipe. A mix of old-world ingredients that makes for a very thin and breathing finish that looks and feels old from the start.
