Details
"Love for fingerstyle guitar and my tendency to obsess on overdoing, has resulted in continuous refinement of my Fingerstyle SJ model."
Charis guitars are crafted single-handedly by Bill Wise from his workshop in Michigan. Bill's philosophy, honed during his days as an engineer, is that it's better to do a select few things very well, and to that end, he has specialized in crafting acoustics that are especially well-suited to fingerstyle playing. Though he calls this model an SJ, it's still plenty comfortable for anyone who prefers a mid-sized guitar, but wants an added boost in volume and bass presence. The action and playability make all kinds of fingerstyle or hybrid playing a breeze. The master-grade cedar and Madagascar rosewood come together for a sweet and warm voice, responding especially well to a lighter attack.
The condition of this pre-owned model is very good. It has no fret wear, but a few cosmetic issues are visible in person, like a superficial 2-inch scrape above the strings that doesn't break the finish, a ding in the top on the lower bout treble side, finish hazing from skin reaction on the lower bout bass side, and the light finish swirls that come with regular use.
