This unique Collings dreadnought was modeled to be like a D-21, with simple B/W purfling and tortoise binding, but it stands out due to its tonewood upgrades: baked Adirondack spruce and Madagascar rosewood. Like any Collings rosewood dread, this D2 MR A is powerful guitar that would serve a bluegrass flatpicker well, but it has a darkness and nuance that also lends itself well to other playing styles, and a comfortable set-up that even accommodates fingerpicking. What more is there to say? Collings peerless craftsmanship + hard-to-come-by Madagascar rosewood is a dream combination. And this pre-owned guitar is in excellent condition, with a strap button already installed.
