Details

Built with a vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, the Collings D2H AT showcases the most sought after characteristics found in the revered pre-war instruments. Crafted with the classic combination of an Adirondack Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a Honduran Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard, this guitar is specifically voiced, with hand-selected and acclimated tonewoods, to emphasize the warm rounded highs and present low mids that the Traditional Series is known for. These qualities are complemented even more by the Custom Traditional Series Pre-War Scalloped X-Brace, and the T-Series Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which is sanded to an even thinner thickness than Collings’ standard instruments. This allows the natural qualities of the wood, tonal, and visual, to stand out. With its amber lacquer toner, Herringbone purfling, custom wood rosette, and Zipper style backstrip, this Collings D2H AT boasts classic appointments to match its distinctive vintage tone.
