Details

Collings’ take on the tried and true OM body shape, this OM-2H sports the coveted combination of a Sitka Spruce top paired with an Indian Rosewood back and sides. Collings hand-voices these premium tonewoods based on the wood’s density and rigidity, finishing them with a meticulously hand-sanded nitrocellulose lacquer that measures between .005 and .007 inches.

This custom finish maximizes the acoustical response and the tonal potential of each guitar while providing it with excellent protection and aesthetics. The balanced tonal properties matched with the distinctive herringbone purflings and ivoroid body bindings encompass the spirit of the historical OM body shape and make this guitar a perfect instrument for fingerstyle players and flat pickers alike.
