This custom Collings OM has a list of notable features: it's all mahogany, short scale, and sports the Vintage Now neck profile and wider string spacing. All in all, it makes for a choice fingerstyle and vocal accompaniment instrument. Its all mahogany construction gives it a prominent low-end, a defined mid-range, with a smooth top-end, creating a tone filled with warmth and body. This instrument’s short 24-7/8" is easy playing, and the Vintage Now neck profile and 2-5/16" string spacing is a little wider than the standard mod V set up, but not quite as wide and chunky as a true vintage Martin. The elegantly simple wood rosette and 1-style walnut backstrip keep the focus on the wood grain, and the pickguard is the longer 000-style shape.
