Details

Collings Traditional Series, or “T-Series”, is a vintage-inspired tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound, designed and crafted to showcase the most desirable characteristics present in coveted pre-war instruments, and this OM1 T flawlessly represents the golden age sound. With hand-selected and carefully acclimated Sitka Spruce and Honduran Mahogany, this guitar is characterized by its warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection. Its nitrocellulose lacquer finish is hand-sanded to a thinner thickness than their standard instruments (less than .005”) allowing the natural qualities of these tonewoods to shine. The OM1 T’s traditional neck profile offers a soft V shape, with a distinct taper and rounded fretboard edges for a “played-in” feel. With custom wood appointments throughout, the Collings OM 1T retains a classy vintage-inspired aesthetic to pair with its alluring traditional tonality.
