A German spruce soundboard is a welcome spin on the Collings' version of the OM-28! The 14-fret OM (Orchestra Model) steel-string guitar has long been a favorite of fingerstyle players, but you'll find this versatile guitar in the hands of many a flatpicker and strummer, as well. Indian rosewood provides nicely balanced overtones and depth. German spruce is often described as sitting tonally between Adirondack and Sitka—it has much of Adi's crackle and clarity, but with some of Sitka's warmth. Herringbone purfling, ivoroid binding, and a zipper backstrip are all the adornment this stalwart classic needs.
The condition of this pre-owned model is excellent, with only light wear on and around the pickguard.
