Details
There is just no guitar that's as fun to spontaneously pick up and play as a good parlor, and the Collings Parlor 1A with Traditional Series build specs and ultra-thin satin finish might just be our new favorite. Small doesn't mean quiet as this punchy little 12-fret cannon proves, as the long body and standard 4" depth mean there's still plenty of body cavity to resonate, giving it a strong midrange and crisp trebles. A short scale combined with standard light gauge strings make playability loose and easy, even a little satisfyingly jangly when you dig in. We love the upgraded Vintage Satin finish, too. It imparts a roundedness and warmth that really benefits smaller bodied guitars like this one.
