Don Musser has been crafting guitars in the American Southwest since 1976, and his client list is a star-studded group that includes Bob Dylan, Peter Fonda, Tom Petty, and Eddie Van Halen. Part of his living he made through selling tonewood to other luthiers, allowing him to select the finest woods available for his own traditional-inspired instruments. The playability and tone of this OM will quickly make it easy to see why Don's instruments have been picked up by so many great players. The mid-sized nature of the OM design helps to restrain the Brazilian rosewood sustain and bring out the midrange, making this a pleasingly balanced and complex sounding guitar, especially for fingerstyle. One unusual feature are the soft curved edges of the body which add some extra comfort, especially under the right arm. The condition of this nearly 20-year-old guitar is excellent, with no fret wear and no notable cosmetic issues.
