Details
Dale Fairbanks has done it again with his absolute cannon, the F-35 Super Smeck, this time in torrefied maple and old-growth Adirondack spruce! Massive and commanding, with the sweetest, clearest sustain you could imagine, this is another one of those maple guitars that made us all turn to each other and ask, "How could anyone not love maple?" Especially when torrefied like this. Though it has a large body, the short scale playability and 12-fret neck join makes it feel manageable, and helps it pivot between sweeping strumming and fingerpicking with no trouble. And how could we miss that perfect sunburst combined with popping MOP fretboard inlays and orange-hued pickguard? Vintage vibes to the max. If it's already sold, well—at least you get to enjoy that demo linked down below.
