This stunning 50s Top Bound Esquire from Fenders Custom Shop is a surprisingly versatile number for its single pickup, workhorse format, and really does sound as great as it looks.
Built in specially selected Alder for the body with a one-piece Maple Neck, this timeless design lends itself to a wonderful punchy tone even unplugged, feeling comfortable and fast under the fretting hand and rock solid under the other regardless of pick attack or playing style in classic Esquire/Tele fashion.
The wiring certainly allows the player to get the most mileage from the single Seymour Duncan BG Pickup, with the three way selector applying a special Capacitor in position one, standard vol/tone in position two and bypassing the tone control altogether in position three. Between these you can dial in a range of sounds from warmer, mellow tones through to the iconic spank and twang the flat pole single coil is renowned for.
This fine instrument comes in its original Tweed Hardcase with all the appropriate paperwork and accessories.
