So this may well be about as cool as it gets. This audacious statement of a Telecaster comes from Fender's Custom Shop and was Masterbuilt by Dennis Galuszka in 2007. It's a truly striking guitar that not only has looks that kill but classic, unmistakable twangy and fat tones on tap that really are to die for.
It's hard to start with anything but the finish when talking about this guitar. The '68 style Pink Paisley finish has an incredible amount of detail and nuance to it and really is a thing of beauty to behold. The subtle relic work allows the sparkle undercoat to assert itself in places and really adds to the welcoming and 'broken in' feel of the instrument.
The Maple neck is relatively slim and fast, with the Sanko 6105 frets making for a very comfortable playing experience and tremendous ease in bending and voicing all the way up the fretboard.
The Fender Custom Shop pickups in this guitar yield all the classic snap and twang of a prime vintage Telecaster, and respond wonderfully to fingerpicking as well as flatpicking covering a whole range of sonic turf from country cleans through to Kieth Richards inspired rock tones and beyond.
Being a relic guitar, the condition of this pre-owned instrument is deliberate and some signs of play wear are evident on the pickguard. Everything works as it should and the guitar operates flawlessly.
The guitar comes with a Black Tolex Hardcase and all the case candy one would expect.
