This gorgeous example of an early Fylde Falstaff acoustic guitar was designed with the needs of then contemporary guitar players in mind, and with a marginally wider fingerboard, shorter scale and inspiring note separation you can see how it was thoughtfully put together to excel with such playing styles.
With a beautifully figured, 3-piece Indian Rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka Spruce top, the tonality is familiar and inspiring, with the '0'-fret ahead of the nut making for a strong fundamental and articulate response.
The neck has a comfortable chunky 'v' profile that is incredibly comfortable to play and provides ample amounts of ringing sustain and depth to each note that melds delightfully with the resonance and projection of the body.
This instrument has been well played, but as a result has opened up and settled with an inspiring tonality and feel.
