Details

Quickly summing up the massive influence and reputation of a luthier like Bryan Galloup is no small feat. Drawing on his own experience as a performer and through constant feedback from musicians, Bryan has been running a successful repair, restoration and lutherie business for over 40 years. Not content to stop there, though, he has innovated and invented tools and programs used by countless other builders, as well as taught several generations through the Galloup School.

We are most pleased to host this extraordinary guitar, "The Mission", here in the TNAG showroom! Inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, it was originally built for the Miami Art Basel Show and later featured in the 2021 Boutique Guitar Showcase, where we first saw it. All tonewoods Bryan uses are master-grade or higher. This G.4 (12-fret 00) model was crafted of German spruce and Brazilian rosewood, giving it a dark, lush tone with a strong bass and sweet highs. The unusual geometric appointments give this guitar a timeless feel, and are matched beautifully with an accompanying oak chair for both display and for performance. Inside this unusual piece is a hidden drawer, complete with wine bottle, decanter and glass.
