The fingerstyle players at TNAG always get excited when a Gerber guitar shows up in the showroom, and for good reason. Once you discover what an accomplished player Ryan is himself, it makes perfect sense that he crafts guitars that are so well-suited to fingerstyle sensibilities. But as Carl proves in the demo below, it certainly isn't limited in any way! Though he's discontinued his RL15 in favor of the smaller RL14.5 and the larger RL15.5, we love the deeper-bodied OM feel of this one. He's combined Swiss moon spruce with cocobolo, and the result is everything you could hope from a mid-sized cocobolo guitar. It's balanced, articulate and clear, to be sure, but with an enviable combination of high end sweetness, rich, enveloping bass, and lingering sustain. It responds beautifully to a light touch, with a slinkier string feel thanks to the 25-1/4" scale. Ryan's appointments are always something to behold, but this one really knocks it out of the park, with a multi-wood rosette, birdseye maple headstock overlay, and cocobolo bindings and beveled armrest.

This pre-owned guitar was pristinely well-kept, and comes to us in excellent condition with its original hardshell case.
