When it comes to '50s Gibson flattops, it doesn’t get much better than the Country Western. The slope shoulder dreadnought shape is extremely versatile, and it’s no surprise that it's been used on everything from classic rock to traditional folk music.

This example has a truly astounding tone. When hit with a flatpick, it has a beautifully rich and full sound perfect for strumming. When played fingerstyle, it has that classic mellow Gibson tone we all know and love. With more dressed-up aesthetics than it’s brother the J-50, this Country Western sounds as good as it looks. This guitar has some buckle-rash on the back, but is in great vintage condition.
