When it comes to versatility, it’s tough to beat a Gibson J-45, and this is a phenomenal example. With hot hide glue construction, a red spruce top, and Gibson’s thermal curing system, this guitar has the spirit of a vintage Gibson with the stability of a new instrument.
Tonally this guitar has the mellowness and resonance of 1940s Gibson flattops and is the ultimate singer/songwriter guitar. It has tremendous string-to-string balance and contrasts contemporaries with it’s more tempestuous nature. With a beautiful sunburst and Gibson’s VOS finish, this guitar feels like an old pair of boots, comfortable and perfectly broken in. A DiMarzio passive pickup was installed by a previous owner. This guitar is in excellent pre-owned condition.
