James Goodall says of his Jumbo model, "This one is not for the faint of heart!" And with a lower bout that clocks in at 17" wide and over 4" deep, that's no understatement. This is a bold guitar, with a huge, sparkling sound, rendered even fuller and more enveloping in the 12-string configuration. Built back when his shop was still located in Hawaii, this beautiful MJ-12 sports flamed maple back and sides and a bearclaw Sitka spruce top—a dream combo for a 12-string jumbo. A natural strummer and accompanist, the wide neck and set-up enables single note and arpeggiated picking, too.
It does sport a couple stray, very light finish dings, but is otherwise in very good to excellent condition, and comes with its original Ameritage custom hardshell case.
