Details

With close to 50 years of lutherie experience, James Goodall believes that his Standard ES model is the crowning achievement of his career. With a body similar in size to a dreadnought, the resemblance ends with the size. Its Sitka spruce top and Macassar ebony back and sides, paired with its unique body shape, create an instrument that possesses a powerful bass and midrange, brilliant, shimmering trebles, and rich, harmonic overtones. Goodall claims it is the the most balanced guitar in his lineup, and he is not wrong. The clarity and string separation is uncanny. With its abalone rosette and ornate ebony and maple rosette, the Goodall Standard ES is truly a unique and modern instrument that excels at home, on stage, and in the studio.
