The versatility, tonal balance, and tasteful visual appeal of the Goodall Traditional 000 Macassar Ebony all become apparent within moments of playing this instrument. As the newest addition to Goodall’s Traditional series, this guitar fills the needs of players looking for a smaller body guitar, with large-body tone.
While its 12-fret construction lends itself to fingerstyle playing, this 000 sounds and feels equally at home in the hands of a flat picker. This guitar punches above its weight with a body size between an OM and a Dreadnought, paired with a custom partially scalloped X bracing pattern. As a result of this design, the Goodall Traditional 000 has a full-bodied bass response while maintaining an open high-end, giving this guitar a full-bodied tone that you’d expect from a much larger instrument.
Not only do the Macassar Ebony back and sides provide a dramatic striped appearance, but this Southeast Asian tonewood lends itself to this guitar’s rich, three-dimensional tone. Alongside this upgraded tonewood, this Goodall is loaded with tastefully conservative, yet detailed, visual appointments. From the herringbone wood marquetry rosette and top purfling to the mother of pearl notched square inlays, as well as a redesigned traditional style peghead and bridge, the Goodall Traditional 000 Macassar Ebony leaves nothing to be desired.
