Details
A longtime passionate woodworker and musician, luthier Mark Hatcher builds beautiful custom guitars up in Barre, VT. He gears his models toward fingerstyle players especially, and aims for sustainability and the use of renewable resources in all his builds. His Grand Auditorium-sized Greta model features a 15-1/2" lower bout with a tight waist, making it comfortable whether seated or standing, and with a big, versatile voice. Using Cuban mahogany for the back and sides, and Engelmann spruce for the soundboard, this one is particularly sweet and warm, balanced across the registers and up the neck, and with a satisfying response even when played lightly. With cocobolo binding and an ergonomic bevel, the fit, finish and playability of this guitar are absolutely excellent. This 2015 model comes to us from the original owner, well-maintained and cared for, with a K&K Pure Mini pickup and a Hoffee carbon fiber case.
