Details

It's no wonder this 2018 NAMM special OM didn't stay with us long. Isaac Jang is a highly sought after young luthier who is crafting some of the most innovative and beautifully executed guitars available today. Made with premium Italian spruce and figured cocobolo, this fingerstylist's dream guitar is loaded with overtones and sustain, in a package that features both ergonomic and aesthetic delights aplenty.

He's borrowed some elements from other lauded luthiers, most notably, the cutaway. Originated by Japanese builder Mitsuhiro Uchida, Isaac calls it a "bendaway". The bendaway on this one is subtler than on some of his other guitars, but it still increases accessibility up the neck by creating a smooth reach. In addition to that, he employs the Manzer Wedge, a build technique learned from Linda Manzer. The body is a little thinner at the top than at the bottom, achieving both volume and ergonomic comfort.
