Details

Bill Kelday, a Scottish luthier (now retired), is a maker whose elegantly crafted acoustic guitars have won the hearts of players like Tony McManus. This Terz model, a scaled-down, classical-inspired guitar tuned a minor third higher than usual, is a delightfully unique little instrument, sure to entice many a singer and fingerstylist. Effortless to play not just due to its slight size, it has a slinky string feel - courtesy of the 22-1/2" scale length - as well. The tone is surprisingly balanced, with a tight bass and ringing, chimey mids, and highs. Unusual back and sides of English yew are dressed up with a zipper backstrip and ebony binding, while distinctive multi-colored purfling and an abalone rosette add a beautiful touch to the Sitka spruce top. Bill's customary thistle graces the headstock.

This guitar does have one notable blemish - an inch-long scratch in the top on the lower bout bass side. Aside from that, this guitar is in very good condition, with no fret wear or set-up issues to note.
