Kimble A Mandolin, Red Maple & Red Spruce

Why not spread the cost?

Inspired by Loar-era Gibsons, Will Kimble has been building mandolins with his father Fred since 2000. Kimble does not have any standard models or trim levels because he believes that each build is unique, and handcrafts each mandolin based on tone, feel, and aesthetics. The combination of its Red Spruce top and a one-piece Red Maple back and sides gives this A-style mandolin a generous amount of volume, fullness, and warmth, without ever sacrificing its balanced tone. These tonal characteristics, paired with its varnished Traditional Sunburst finish and Ivoroid body, fingerboard, and peghead binding, make this Kimble A Mandolin perfect for those looking for a high-quality, handcrafted mandolin that boasts both vintage tone and aesthetics.
