Details
Developing on the design of their popular Saddle Pal model, Lame Horse have crafted the larger Big Hoss! Keeping the 12-fret configuration, depth, and sloping cutaway from the Saddle Pal, they've increased the lower bout to 15" wide. The result is a guitar has the same playability and graceful look with tons of added volume and body. A crisp attack and singing clarity is complimented by a lingering sustain--tonal traits that can be attributed to the well-chosen Italian spruce top and Brazilian rosewood as much as they can to the clever design. And just check out that mirror-like black top, so beautifully complimented by the unique soundhole design!
This guitar sports additional unique proprietary features. To adjust the truss rod, there is a hex nut below the fifteenth fret and behind the neck heel that you adjust with an included wrench. The rear access panel "makes it very easy to visualize and work on the inside of [our] acoustic guitars" as well as adjust the pickup system. To finish it off, this Lame Horse comes in a custom grey Calton case.
